Since 1875, St. Bernard's has welcomed Roman Catholics from Wickford and the surrounding area to worship at its altar. Over the years, it has grown in many ways, including its physical size and in the number of parishioners who make up the parish community.
What began as a small building on a little piece of land has grown to include several renovations that have resulted in the current church, the rectory and the parish center. And we continue to grow. In 2001, the Davis family donated a parcel of land (at Tower Hill and Ten Rod Road, Routes 1 and 102) for the construction of a new church. A groundbreaking ceremony with Bishop Tobin was conducted August 5th, 2007.
