Bible Study - SIGN UP NOW!
St. Bernard Church sponsors bible study using materials by “Little Rock Scripture Studies” from Liturgical Press. Small groups meet weekly at the parish center. The weekly meetings consist of opening prayer, a 20 minute video lecture, and 1 hour of discussion based on questions in the study guide. Participants should expect to spend approximately 2 hours during the week to read and reflect on the assigned scriptures and the commentary as well as answering the questions in the study guide. All are welcome to look at the materials or sit in on a session to get a better idea of how the program works. Leave a message at the parish center for the Bible Study program coordinator to get answers to any questions you may have.Two Times to Choose From:
- Tuesday mornings from 9:30 - 11:00 AM
- Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 PM
How to sign up: For information about current and future studies contact Deborah at 885-6405 or email dlmccoy@cox.net. You do not have to be a member of St. Bernard's parish in order to join.
Cost: Booklets are distributed at the first meeting. Donations are accepted for the cost of the participant books ($14 is suggested) but this is not a requirement.

Upcoming Study: The Book of Exodus (STARTING JANUARY 2012)
“The exodus is the central event of the Old Testament. Its themes of liberation, wilderness, Passover, covenant and God’s dwelling are central for the whole Bible. The passage from bondage to freedom is the journey of all God’s people.” (quoted from Little Rock Scripture Study materials).
This 10 week study begins January 10th for the Tuesday morning group and January 12th for the Thursday night group, and finishes mid-March.
