Bible Study - SIGN UP NOW!
St. Bernard Church sponsors bible study using materials by “Little Rock Scripture Studies” from Liturgical Press. Small groups meet weekly at the parish center. The weekly meetings consist of opening prayer, a 20 minute video lecture, and 1 hour of discussion based on questions in the study guide. Participants should expect to spend approximately 2 hours during the week to read and reflect on the assigned scriptures and the commentary as well as answering the questions in the study guide. All are welcome to look at the materials or sit in on a session to get a better idea of how the program works. Leave a message at the parish center for the Bible Study program coordinator to get answers to any questions you may have.Two Times to Choose From:
- Tuesday mornings from 9:30 - 11:00 AM
- Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Next Study: “Next Study: “Touching the Mysteries – Scripture and the Rosary” (MAY 2007)
Our ongoing small group scripture study groups have chosen this 5 week study to take place during May. This study will focus on the biblical stories that provide background for the mysteries of the rosary. After an overview session, the following 4 sessions will each be devoted to the following sets of mysteries – Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious. We will not be saying the rosary, but studying the scriptural events that the rosary reflections are based on. A morning group will meet on Tuesdays (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th) from 9:30-11:00 AM. The evening group will meet on Thursday evenings (3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 29th) from 7-8:30 PM. Donations for materials will be accepted at the first meetings. Please register early to ensure enough materials for all. After this study, the Bible Study groups will break for the Summer and resume in the Fall.

Cost: Booklets are distributed at the first meeting. Donations are accepted for the cost of the participant books ($10 is suggested) but this is not a requirement.
