Generations of FaithMarch 21st, 2007Generations of Faith multi-generational activities continued through 2007. Generations of Faith (GOF) is a method of religious educational teaching that moves our style of instruction from a focus primarily centered on children to a structured cirriculum that implements lifelong faith formation for all ages and generations, including and especially adults. It is an exciting new direction for our parish, and it has drawn great interest from both children and parents. The goal is to enable the parish to become a community of learning by creating lifelong faith formation that is centered in the events of church life. This community of learning embraces all ages and generations, and promotes faith formation at home, through parish preparation programs, and, most importantly, through participation in church life. The photos below are from the GOF session that took place on 21 March, with the parish center bustling with activity as families prepared themselves for an understanding and appreciation of the significance of Lent and Ash Wednesday.
