Operation Helping Hands
April 30 through May 7, 2006
Operation Helping Hands is a a volunteer program of Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. It was formed to assist the community in reoccupying their homes in the rebuilding efforts following the destruction from Hurricane Katrina last summer. St Bernard Church dispatched a group of parish volunteers to spend a week in the greater New Orleans area in cooperation with the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The photos below catalog their experience during this extraordinary week.
