Generations of Faith is our basic approach to faith formation. It provides all ages opportunities for learning, growing and living in faith through common experiences, age-specific learning and interactive sharing. Generations of Faith is open to everyone in the parish.

Generations of Faith began in 2005 as a replacement for the traditional Religious Education program. There are five scheduled sessions. Highlights of each session include:

• Gathering together for a meal
• An Overview of our gathering theme
• An age appropriate Break Out session
• Sharing of what we learned
• Prayer and Home Kit distribution

Thank you for your patience as we prepare for this year of Faith Formation. Although the Parish Center has been sold, we will continue to hold classes here. Children preparing to receive a sacrament (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th and 10th grades) are REQUIRED to participate in this program with their families. Additional sacramental preparation classes will start in October. Children in all other grades are expected to attend the Generations of Faith Program.

GOF Schedule 2011-2012

This year our topic will be How Shall We Live? Laws of the Heart – Gifts from God.

• Session A - Saturdays, 9:00-10:45 (10/1, 11/5, 2/4, 3/10, 4/28)
• Session B - Sundays, 11:45-2:00 (10/2, 11/6, 2/5, 3/11, 4/29)
• Session C - Mondays, 5:30-7:45 (10/3, 11/7, 2/6, 3/12, 4/30)
• Session D - Tuesdays, 5:30-7:45 (10/4, 11/8, 2/7, 3/13, 5/1)
• Session E - Wednesdays, 5:30-7:45 (10/5, 11/9, 2/8, 3/14, 5/2)

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the session to check in.

Attendance: Students must attend a MINIMUM of 80% of all classes INCLUDING Generations of Faith. Students who miss a class are expect to contact the office (295-0387 or email sbc.gof@verizon.net) and make up the assigned work.

More information about registration for GOF and Sacramental Preparation classes will be announced in future Parish Bulletins. You may read the Parish Bulletin online or pick one up after Masses on the weekends, or you may get one in the Parish Center or in church Monday thru Friday.
